High High

Forget the long lines and those rain-soaked flats from the unexpected downpour. I don't even care if it took us more than an hour to enter the concert premises. Big Bang was so worth it.

We got inside right after they sang 'Fantastic Baby,' which was the fourth song, I think. (Long story short, the Arena's attempt to avoid stampede at the entrance was successful, but downright crap.) The stadium was a sea of sparkling gold and blue from the endless light sticks and bangles across the crowd. That alone cheered me up immediately. Then came the deafening screams. Then the giddy squeals. And then the charming boys onstage.

The songs I enjoyed most were 'Blue' and 'Love Song' since I got to sing the lines "I'm singing my blues" and "I hate this love song" repeatedly until the song diverted to Korean and I resolved to bobbing my head or pretending to know the lyrics by murmuring gibberish. Also, they were the only songs that I actually know from the set. The rest were just familiar or something. I reassessed my fangirling status during one of their costume changes and registered to 3 out of 10. I know. Despite that, I enjoyed every performance. How can I freaking not?

The encore was everything. And by that, I mean that if it was the only part I got to see, I would still consider that night to be such a beautiful night (seewhatididthere). The intensity of the crowd heightened (you can never go wrong with a kpop fandom's energy) and the boys fooled around all over the stage. It was too darned cute I want to squish all of them until they ran out of breath, most especially TOP! I cannot recall how many times I said "Ohmygooood cuuuuuttteee!" in a minute, for how many minutes. Ahh, I have so many feels I want to enumerate them all but I'll only bore you. If you appreciate this paragraph, though, come here and let's share a hug.

For the lulz:
Every girl in the Arena screamed in delight when Taeyang ripped his shirt off by the end of his solo. Everyone but me. I laughed my arse off. That went on until he was dancing topless during the encore. Heh, show off.

Best part:
Everything with GD and/or TOP in it. TOP's pretty face and dimples and dorkiness, GD's swag, both of them being effortlessly cool and cute! Basically, their existence is all.

Additional perks: saw Arriane (idol blogger) and Tricia (girlcrush since 2009!), who I creepily stared at and silently stalked, respectively.

You may have raised eyebrows and are judging my kpop tendencies right now, and that's okay. Kpop in general is bull and I'm with you on that one, but Big Bang's an exception. Trust me.
