- If you are living under a rock beneath the Curiosity rover, let it now be known to you that Manila became the world's largest man-made swimming pool eight days ago.
- Power was cut in our area for around 20 hours starting Tuesday afternoon, so TJ, Biboy, Ana and I spent the night huddled at the dining table unleashing our inner Adam Richman, eating like hungry carnivores while sniffing, quite oddly, the fumes of two Betty Crocker strawberry shortcake scented candles.
- Thursday's crack of dawn terror was presented to my sanity by Twitter. There were suppositions that the city bridge might break from the strong current and debris flow along the river but praise heavens cos the rainfall tamed, the sun shone, and the roads cleared by noon!
- And thennnnn! Snow Patrol with Char, Gaba and Kat that night! We swayed to the music (they were really good live) and sang a line or two from every song since we never got to memorize anything from Fallen Empires even after listening to it for weeks. We kept hitting inside jokes while comparing them to The Script, it was funny (we are so looking forward to #3!).
- Additional entertainment also kept us laughing like kids on crack. About 25 feet in front of us, a guy in his 30s stood with his arms held high, making crazy gestures as if he were at Sunday worship. 3 seats behind him, 2 teenage boys were mimicking his every move. In every song. The entire fucking concert. It was hilarious, I tell you.
See a Cirque du Soleil performance! That's one off my bucket list! I failed to see Varekai last year so I swore to see Saltimbanco once I heard that they were coming back. And, ohboyohboyohboy, was it a real treat! The costumes and stage design were enough to make my eyeballs swirl and think of candy. My jaw stayed on the floor while reveling on all the stunts and circus acts, awestricken. My favorites would be Eddie's performance (SO FUNNY!) and the solo trapeze act (whoever the girl was, she made it look so easy, and lordy, it was the best--it gathered the most sighs and held breaths from the crowd). Everything was dreamlike and I clapped too much, my hand itched and swelled like mad afterward. I loved it!- Family dinner last Sunday to celebrate my brother George (aka Gorbachop) and adorably cute niece Nicole's birthdays. Happy tummies!
- Look at my sidebar! I have a profile photo! This gif doesn't register so here it is, for your reference. Hehe. :)
