Happy Lemon

I love tea. I love it most freshly brewed, plain as it is. It is my go-to drink, alongside extremely hot coffee, when my sinusitis acts up. I may say that I'm green tea biased, especially when it comes to cold/frozen tea beverages, and I blame matcha for that.

I heard about Happy Lemon late last year. Their Green Tea with Rock Salt and Cheese drink created an ongoing buzz and hype that left me curious. The fusion of the words alone had me salivating and concocting its flavor in my head. Weeks turned into months and I now have the pleasure to say that I have finally tasted this omnomnomness!

We went to Promenade last week to celebrate Mao's birthday. I believe it was her self-imposed way for us to have time to visit this tea house (exchanged tweets and texts never come to life most of the time, ya know?). It's perfect timing as well since Kat has just recently been anointed as the newest milk-tea-loving convert. We weren't disappointed.

It was a Tuesday afternoon but it was packed.
They offered a wide variety of coffee, tea, and cocoa based drinks.
Get your straw, leave the plastic.
What we had.
Green tea with Rock Salt and Cheese! The union of the flavors was exquisite.
I certainly loved the thick, cheesy milk they had on top and when combined
with the yummy brew of the green tea, you get a balanced, refreshing tea experience.
Cocoa with Rock Salt and Cheese
Satisfied! :)
Didn't let the day end without a second helping! This one's Matcha with Malt.
They said it tasted like 'Mahal na Araw,' probably due to the earthiness of the tea.
Haha. But I love it! :)
Been craving for more since I got home that day. Greenhills isn't the place I typically go to since it entails effort in terms of transportation, being out of the way, so when I recently learned that they're having a branch in Eastwood, my spirits went up! Yay!
