We call ourselves A&M, short for Aliens and Monsters (this was way before the movie Monsters vs Aliens came out). It was a sunny afternoon and our professor didn't show up, so we ended up fooling around. We made noises. Weird, robotic, alien-ish, monster-ish mumbling, hence the term. We're weird like that. Then it stuck. We stuck.
We always plan meet ups, which almost always gets either rescheduled or cancelled. How fun, right? Anyway, last Saturday, Bernard went to Manila for an interview. He rarely ever visits since he's based in Pampanga so we planned to have a mini get together. Definitely, this was intended for catching up and our cheap thrill food trip around UST. At last, natuloy.
I had always been the thrifty kind. Up until 4th year college, I still found haven in 50PhP value meals and thought that any food bordering the 100-peso price mark is expensive. You know everything changes when you start earning your own money--I now spend my entire salary on food. Going back to UST, or even just the thought of it, makes me happy. I miss the barkada's (A&M plus more of H2) fried isaw and fishball trips, yummy fruit shakes, all the pleasant carinderias in Dapitan, and my all-time liempuhan favorite.
So here are a few snapshots from our Saturdate, since I think I'm going nowhere with this post, haha. :)
Yay to fried isaw! Although this one tasted weird. |
Finally got to try Simple Line! Before this, we also had some
milk tea fix from a stall at the carpark (totally forgot the name) and this
was way better.
