It Will Never End

I did something crazy in order to watch the 2nd installment of The Deathly Hallows. All for the love of Potter. I knew there will be tears, I did anticipate them, and they came flowing down my cheeks (air-dried hoho). The whole theater was silent, it was deafening. A needle would echo if dropped, and I'm not exaggerating this time. A spell was casted. Our minds did it, our hearts made it happen. The film did not lose the unexpected humors, and everyone applauded and cheered when it came and went. There were epic moments. None of Harry nor Voldemort would come automatically to mind if you ask, because it was Snape and Molly who stood out, for me, at least. Dread swept when the Hogwarts Express took off by the end of the film. It All Ends. Yes. It's hard to accept that all 10 years of our lives we've anticipated for the next film, going straight to the cinemas right after classes to get in line for the last full show on the first screening day, just to show love for the franchise, and now this is the last we'll get to see. We spent our summers reading and re-reading the books and playing the movies on loop. Yeah, we'd still do that 10, 19, 30 years from now, but the journey we all went through has ended. We all know that good reigned over evil and the wizarding world is at peace. We'd still be muggles, dying to step foot in Diagon Alley and to ride the train at Platfom 9 3/4. The frustration to learn how to apparate and ride a broomstick will always be there. Those and more, the list is endless. But as J.K. Rowling puts it, "Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home." The magic will live on and never die. It's in our mind. It's in our hearts. Forever.

*And there's still Pottermore (October, come by quickly) and The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter in Orlando. Need. To. Go. There.
